Coco ventures out again...

Okay..I have been chatting with Coco who informs me that he's feeling a bit "confined" in his cellophane home inside the house, so we ventured to the back table where he was surprised to see there are a number of Doll Bookmarks in the making.I told Coco they might end up in a local bookshop to be sold, and the funds raised to support Back Packs for Kids .

This charity supports children who have been placed in Emergency Care due to family breakdown/violence etc.The Foster Homes they go to are often not prepared for their arrival late at night,weekends etc, so the support families have access to a back pack which has pyjamas,underwear,day clothes colouring book,toy etc appropriate to the child's age( from babies to 18 years of age). This gear is often the first time these children have had new clothes,toys etc and the back packs become treasured possessions and help ease the trauma these children feel. Many of these children are now coming back to the charity as volunteers, as they credit the charity (and host families), with turning their lives around.

Coco is a sweet little felt clown doll that was given to me by a friend. It is such a cute little toy and I love it.
